100-mile Bike Ride to Wilmington as part of 2022 Reach the Beach!
Enjoy your Saturday with a 100-mile bike ride to downtown, unwind at Waterline Brewing Company, and meet up with other friends to enjoy the rest of the weekend in Wilmington! We encourage our participants to make arrangements to meet friends and family there and spend the night to make the most of this fun weekend! However, for those that must return home, we have a return transportation option that can be purchased.
Basics of the Event
The 2022 Reach the Beach 100-mile bike event presented by Inside-Out Sports will take place on Saturday, September 17, 2022. The ride will begin at Campbell University in Buies Creek, just 30 miles outside of the Triangle. Riders will depart at 8am and follow roads through rural North Carolina to Wilmington. The route, almost exclusively on 421, will end in historic downtown Wilmington.
All riders must complete the 100-mile route and check in at the finish by 5:30 pm (9 hours and 30 minutes after the start). Riders will be able to meet this schedule if they average at least a 14 mph pace and stop for no more than 1 hour and 25 minutes throughout the ride. A support vehicle will remove riders from the course that are unable to complete in the designated time.
Food and refreshments will be provided before the ride, at 2 water stops, and at the conclusion of the ride. There will be a post-event party at Waterline Brewing Company with a free beer for all event participants.

This event will occur rain or shine. If the event must be cancelled due to dangerous weather conditions or other situations beyond our control, an alternative date will be established and all registrations will be transferred to the subsequent date. Unfortunately, we can not offer refunds.
